Haris Gazdar

Research Experience

Haris Gazdar works with the Collective for Social Science Research as a Director and Senior Researcher. He specializes in conducting multidisciplinary research on social policy, and has published on a range of issues including poverty, hunger, marginality, migration, and urban violence. His current research is focused on women’s work and its implications for their health and the nutrition of young children. Gazdar received his MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics. He has taught as well as conducted academic research in the UK, India, and Pakistan. He has also worked on an honorary basis as adviser to research programmes, government and non-governmental organizations, and political parties.

Poverty; social policy; conflict; interaction between qualitative and quantitative research methods.
