Research Experiance

Priya has been working as a field research officer with the National Institute of Population Studies (NIPS) and the Population Council, Islamabad, since 2009. From 2006 to 2009, she worked with various national and international non-profit organizations in Sindh and Balochistan, including the Collective for Social Science, Aga Khan University, Ahung, Arjumand, and Associates (AAA), Mari Stop Society, CDM Smith, Winrock International, International Relief and Development (IRD-Blumont), HANDS, and Legal Rights Forum (LRF), gaining over a decade of experience. She has been involved in multiple quantitative and qualitative studies, including surveys and research on reproductive health, maternal and child health (MCH), family planning, girls’ education system, and WASH. She conducted training on non-formal education in emergency response for flood-affected areas in Sindh, as well as on legal policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), public-private partnerships, and community mobilization. Additionally, she has contributed to rehabilitation and capacity-building development work. Before rejoining the Collective, Priya was associated with the Legal Rights Forum.

Research Interest

Exploring the impact of social norms on mental health especially in women, understanding the impression of advanced Knowledge basis of human behavior in society, studies the role of artificial intelligence in human decision-making.
